Get Your Maps Here!
So the company that Eric Richardson works for was nice enough to donate a map and Eric worked into the wee hours of the night adding the route and the locations of the galleries on the map. I have uploaded two versions for you to download and print. Here is the PDF Map (4.1MB) and here is the JPG Map (291KB).

Downtown Art Ride #5 Photos
I just uploaded the photos I took during the Downtown Art Ride yesterday. They are mostly from MONA along with several artist shots. In the past I had been taking shots of the actual art, but that is too time consuming and in the future I will just be taking shots of the artists and possibly gallery owners. Below is a photo of Christoph Kapeller, who is showing his art-chitecture at Pharmaka.

A good time was had by all...
So the Art Rides keep drawing more and more people. This time we had a total of 5 people. We now have a real map courtesy of Eric Richardson. I'll upload it soon, I promise.

Downtown Art Ride
Tomorrow is the Downtown Art Ride, a bike based gallery tour that coincides with the Downtown Art Walk. We visit every gallery on the tour, except MOCA Grand and the Library. We start out at the Downtown Art Gallery, meeting at 5pm and leaving at 5:30pm. Downtown Art Gallery is located at 1611 S. Hope St.. Free parking is available next to the gallery. For those taking public transit, the gallery is less than a half mile from the Pico Blue Line station and only 1.1 miles from the 7th/Metro Red Line station. You can print out this GMaps Pedometer map, or just show up and follow the group. The map of galleries participating in the Art Walk is also available as a PDF. You can subscribe to the Art Ride mailing list by sending an email to artride-subscribe@eecue.com. Don't forget to bring a lock! [Special thanks to Eric Richardson for helping compile route and transit info... he's also working on a real map!]
